Overview

You can connect Arlo Health directly to ChatGPT on the web, giving ChatGPT access to the Arlo Health MCP. Once connected, you can ask ChatGPT to help you with healthcare consultations, prescriptions, and more — all within the chat interface.
You can ask ChatGPT to share relevant past conversation context for you. This way your provider can understand the full situation without having to re-explain yourself.

Setup

Open ChatGPT Settings

Go to chatgpt.com and click your profile icon in the top-right corner, then select Settings.

Enable Developer Mode

Click Apps in the left sidebar, then open Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.

Create a New App

Click Create app to set up a new MCP connection.

Configure the App

Fill in the following details:

Save the app when you’re done.

Authenticate

When you first use an Arlo Health tool, ChatGPT will prompt you to authenticate. You’ll be redirected to complete the OAuth sign-up/sign-in flow, then returned to your conversation.

Usage

Once connected, you can interact with Arlo Health naturally in any ChatGPT conversation. Try prompts like:
  • “I’ve had a sore throat for 3 days, can you help me see a doctor?”
  • “Can you summarize this information and send it to Arlo for my provider?”
  • “Find a pharmacy near me that is open tonight and send the prescription there”
You can also tag the connector with @ArloHealth in conversation to explicitly trigger the tool. ChatGPT will automatically use the appropriate Arlo Health tools based on your request.
For the best experience, describe your symptoms in detail. Rich context helps the AI triage system work faster and reduces follow-up questions.
For medical emergencies, call 911. Arlo Health is designed for non-emergency healthcare consultations.

What’s Available

With the connector enabled, ChatGPT has access to all Arlo Health capabilities:
  • Consultations — Start and manage healthcare consultations with licensed providers
  • Prescriptions — View prescriptions and select a pharmacy for pickup
  • Payments — Manage your subscription and billing
  • Messaging — Exchange messages with providers during active consultations
