# Approve Visit Payment

> Returns the Stripe Checkout link where the patient approves a temporary
hold for one visit. Nothing is charged until a doctor joins; the hold is
released otherwise. Once approved, the conversation moves to MATCHING on
its own. There is no card-setup step.

Requires the conversation to be in PAYMENT_REQUIRED (otherwise
no_payment_gate). While the consultation summary is still generating the
response is summary_loading; retry shortly. The link is valid for about
30 minutes; call again for a fresh one if it expires.

    Arlo currently serves California, United States (`US-CA`); an unsupported
    region is refused with `REGION_NOT_SUPPORTED`, whose payload names the
    regions Arlo serves at that moment.
